MANAGING DIRECTORS

Todd Trowbridge CPA, CA
Managing Director, International Expansion, Private Client Corporate Services
Todd Trowbridge is an accountant by trade and business owner by passion. As the founder of Trowbridge Professional Corporation, Todd combines solid experience with his predisposition to intuit what private corporations need to do to save on taxes and grow a profitable business. Todd is committed to problem-solving and helping his clients navigate the complexities of tax accounting and legislation for their benefit.
After working at both a Big 4 firm and a smaller local firm, Todd tapped into his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Trowbridge Professional Corporation in 2002. Todd has completed levels I, II and III of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Taxation Program and is a current member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, London.

Arun (Ernie) Nagaratha, CPA, CA, CPA (Illinois)
Managing Director, Global Mobility Services
Ernie Nagratha is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, specializing in expatriate taxation as it relates to Canadians living and working around the world. Ernie joined Trowbridge Professional Corporation as a founding partner shortly after its inception in 2002 to build the firm’s expatriate tax services practice. As a former expat living and working abroad, Ernie’s real-life knowledge combined with his in-depth tax expertise has resulted in a growing international client base. Ernie shares his love of business and helping people when he travels the globe speaking to Canadian expats on how to navigate the often complex world of international tax.
Ernie has completed levels I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Taxation Program and is a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Ernie graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto.

Wayne Bewick, CPA, CA, CFP, CPA (Illinois)
Managing Director, Private Client Individual Tax Services
As an experienced Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and a US Certified Public Accountant, Wayne leads the Private Client Division at Trowbridge and thrives on problem-solving and making complex tax matters less daunting for his international clients.
Having worked extensively in the U.K. and in Canada with travel to over 90 countries, Wayne joined Trowbridge Professional Corporation in 2002 with a vision to give the firm a global platform by educating and advising expatriates on their personal tax needs. Wayne is frequently sought out as a panelist and subject matter expert, presenting worldwide on tax compliance issues and tax obligations for expats living and working abroad. Prior to joining Trowbridge, Wayne spent time at Deloitte specializing in expatriate and international tax services. Wayne graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and has completed levels I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-depth Taxation Program.

GTN UK assists Trowbridge in working with individual clients who require UK domestic and international tax planning and compliance.

Richard Watts-Joyce CTA, ATT
Managing Partner, GTN UK
Richard is the co-founder and Managing Partner of the UK office of Global Tax Network, where he assists high net worth individuals, non domiciles, and professional sportspersons with international tax planning and compliance. In addition to advising private clients, Richard also assists companies with tax policy development and planning for international assignment programs.
Richard has over 25 years of experience in international tax consulting, having previously worked within the London offices of KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers specializing in international executive tax planning and compliance for multinational companies. He then spent a number of years at Watson Wyatt Partners, assisting clients with international executive compensation structures and incentive schemes for board-level directors, before establishing Global Tax Network Ltd in 2000.
Richard has a BSc Honours Degree from the London School of Economics and qualified as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians in 1995 and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1999. Richard is a regular speaker at relocation events and training conferences and is a member of the GTN Global Leadership Team.

Shailja Patel, CPA (New York)
Senior Director, Private Client Individual Tax Services
Being a frequent and avid traveller, Shailja Patel has experienced her share of borders. It’s no wonder she brings a keen worldly perspective to her role as Senior Director in Trowbridge’s Private Client Individual Tax Services team. Shailja is a US Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA with more than 20 years of experience in Canadian and US personal income tax compliance and consulting. In addition to her in-depth tax knowledge, Shailja’s degree and training in clinical psychology provides her with a unique understanding of human behaviour which she applies in her daily interaction with clients and colleagues.
Shailja’s experience includes compliance, planning and advisory on cross-border tax issues for the mobile executive as well as owner-managed businesses, partnerships, and trusts. She also has extensive experience in taxation matters relating to trust, corporate reporting, expatriation tax, and other cross-border tax issues.

Helena Turner
Director of Tax, Private Client Services
Helena is an experienced US/UK expatriate tax professional with over 20 years’ experience gained with both large and small accountancy firms including the Big 4. Helena enjoys engaging with and educating people around the US tax system and has also successfully managed varied client portfolios ranging from ultra-high net worth individuals to multi-national company assignment programs.

Peter Megoudis
Senior Technical Director, Private Client Individual Tax Services
Peter provides a wide variety of cross-border (US and Canadian) tax services, including advising High Net Worth clients on corporate, trust, and personal structuring of their businesses, trust and estate planning, and trust and personal tax filings and compliance. He also advises individuals on tax planning and compliance implications of leaving or entering Canada, or expatriating from, or leaving, the US; as well as assisting them in US or Canadian Voluntary Disclosure applications.
As well, he consults with both companies and executives on designing deferred compensation plans, and determining compliance with US and Canadian compensation rules.
He has over 20 years of experience as a Partner in a big four firm in their Global Employer Services Group and the cross border tax field, and has published extensively on both HNW and compensation areas, and is a frequent speaker, presenting in many forums, including BNN, STEP, the LSUC, US Professionals Association, and Federated Press.
Peter received his B.C.L. (Civil Law) and LL.B. (Common Law) degrees from McGill University and his LL.M. Master of Laws degree from the University of Toronto. He is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Nimisha Modha
Director
Nimisha ia an expert tax manager specialising in UK and US tax. After achieving a BA in Accounting and Finance, Nimisha spent 11 years at the international tax practice of Fitzgerald and Law and a further 3 years at PKF Littlejohn in London. Nimisha joined the Trowbridge team in 2019.
